My name is Jayme Diehl, from Charlotte, NC! I began my career teaching second grade and then became a first-grade teacher. I put a huge emphasis on building positive relationships with students and parents, which I believe is key to my success. Each year, children in my class exceeded their expected growth and had fun doing it! I was asked to join my school’s leadership team by becoming an Instructional Coach. In my third year coaching, I decided to take some time off to raise my boys. I chose to tutor in order to have a bit more flexibility. Working directly with students again reminded me why I fell in love with teaching. My hope for Smart Diehl Academy is that it becomes a community where we wholly fulfill the academic, social and creative needs children with a well rounded and enriching education.
